Fuji Sengen Shrine is a historical shrine situated in the thick cedar forest at bottom of Mt.Fuji. Constructed in 788AD, Fuji Sengen Jinja has a long history as an important place to honor Japan's most sacred mountain, and it was the focal point of Mt.Fuji worship and pilgrimage. It serves as the entrance to the Yoshidaguchi climbing trail.
The 5th level of Mt.Fuji is on the peak of Mt.Komitake which is a part
of Mt.Fuji.
Today the 5th level( 2305m) is a major base for climbing Mt.Fuji.
Affectionately called "Fujisan" with a height of 3,776 meters,
it is Japan's highestpeak. Its almost perfect cone shape is world-famous
for its beauty and the mountain is a symbol of Japan.

It is located between 4th and 5th level (2100-2300m) of Mt.Fuji and is a part of Ochudou trail(circular trail of Mt Fuji) of Mt.Fuji. Okuniwa probably has the most unique landscape view in this mountain as it is situated on the border line between forest and volcanic mountain. It also played a major part in Mt.Fuji worship as this area was considered the line between heaven and earth.

In Aokigahara Jukai forest, there are numerous caves still to be found. These caves are product of Mt. Fuji eruption in 9th century. Narusawa Hyouketsu(Icicle cave) is one of those caves and it was created by the eruption in 864AD. Its length is about 200m and average temperature is about 3-5 degree Celsius. This cave had been used as a natural refrigerator for local farmers.

Wind cave is located at Shoji-guchi trail, which is probably best preserved trail in Mt.Fuji. The environment around the trail remains quite wild and shows mysterious atmosphere of Aokigahara forest.
Motosuko is the deepest lake among 5 lakes with its 138m in depth.
Since the lake has least population among 5 lakes, water is pristine(20m
visibility) and the view is famous as it is printed on the back of 1000
Yen bill.
